Orion Medical Consulting believes that you should be able to experience the outdoors in confidence. Knowing what to do in an emergency situation, and having the right resources at your fingertips is critical to the safe return of everyone involved.
Our Vision at Orion Medical Consulting is to empower backcountry hunters and outdoor adventurers to continue exploring the wilderness safely by providing the tools and knowledge to treat and prevent serious injury in a remote wilderness environment. Our goal is to replace fear with the confidence to manage serious injury by equipping and educating all adventurists on life-saving tactics. Our hope is to motivate wilderness exploration and promote safety education and tactics for all adventurists.
Meet Jimmy
Jimmy Gruenewald is the CEO for Orion Medial Consulting. He is a licensed Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant with over 12 years of experience in emergency and austere medicine. For over 10 years, Jimmy served active duty in the US Army in the 82nd Airborne Division with the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment and the Special Operations community with 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne). A combat veteran with six combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, Jimmy utilizes his experiences and skill set to help educate backcountry hunters and outdoor adventurers.
Meet Aimee
Aimee Gruenewald is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Orion Medical Consulting. Aimee is a graduate of Alverno College in Milwaukee, WI and has her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing. She completed her internship in the Pediatric Emergency Department and Trauma Center and Pediatric ICU at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After completing her internship she transitioned to OB/GYN nursing with FirstHealth of the Carolinas at Moore County in Pinehurst, North Carolina on the OB and Nursery Units.
Aimee is the lead product and educational design engineer for Orion Medical Consulting. She is an avid kayaker, fisherman, and hiker.
